“Dreaming is the ability to see something that doesn’t exist yet.”
~ Mel Robbins
Did you know that writing down your dreams and goals helps to achieve them? According to a study of the Dominican University in California your 40 percent more likely to accomplish your dreams when you write them down. And according to a study done at Harvard people that write their goals and dreams down are ten times more likely to achieve them.
I last week started with the challenge of Mel Robbins that creates a supporting platform that helps you write down your dreams and reflect on them. Together with a friend I now form a team to hold each other accountable. This helps to create momentum and is also an enormous stimulus to show up each day.
“We tell people to follow their dreams, but you can only dream of what you can imagine, and, depending on where you come from, your imagination can be quite limited.”
~ Mel Robbins
Things I learned this week:
- My limiting beliefs are stopping me from achieving my dreams.
- My fears are holding me back.
- Self-awareness is the most powerful tool to work against those two.
Limiting beliefs are the thoughts that ruminate in your brain and hold you back from doing the things you truly want. It’s the negative self-talk that stops you every time you try to push yourself out of your comfort zone. It’s the discouraging thing someone said to you in the past that you can’t seem to let go of.
But because I started to write down my dreams. I also started to fight my limiting beliefs. The most important dream I have for the next year and decade is to build a creative online business. A thing I already started doing by getting the FREE On-Demand Workshops. Are you following me?
If you also want to join the best decade ever. It is still possible to join and do it at your own pace. Enjoy and dream big!
